Yesterday I fled to the local mall with my mom before I totally lost my mind.
The kids were making me mental.
So we had a nice CALM couple of hours apart from the Canadian Idol wannabe’s floating around. And then she offered to babysit THAT NIGHT!
We had thought first about going to a movie, but Crunchy Husband wasn’t that into that idea, then we figured we would just go have a bite to eat in peace. THEN we thought about calling some friends…..said friends had NOT made plans yet and so there we went…out to a nice ‘hip’ restaurant and had a grown up dinner with lots of laughs and grown up chatter and beer.
We went to a place call PUBLIC down on Vancouver’s Main Street. We used to live around there and totally miss it. They do non Spanish Tapas. Yummy.
Boy a nice treat like that suuuuure makes a difference to one’s state of mind.

awwww… that’s so wonderful!! great to have moms that are living close by! My mother took the kids last nite also and they are still there (by kids, I mean NOT the baby 🙂 ) The baby is still mine for now… although she does still manage the 3 of them sometimes.
